Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about buying, selling and staying safe here.

How do I post an ad?
Press "Post an ad", pick a category, add photos, a title, a price and a description, then confirm how you want to be contacted. Your ad goes live straight away and stays up for 45 days. Posting is free, and you can have fifteen ads running at once.
Is it really free to sell?
Yes. Posting an ad costs nothing and we take no commission on what you sell. We charge only if you choose to promote an ad so it appears above the others in search results.
How do I contact a seller?
Open the ad and use "Message seller" to start a private conversation, or ask a public question in the comments if it is something other buyers would want to know too. Some sellers also publish a phone number.
What is Sell Faster, and how do I get it?
Sell Faster puts your ad at the top of the search results, gives it a Featured badge, highlights it and makes it eligible for the homepage — all together, for two weeks. Your first one is free, so you can see what it does before paying for another. You can add it while posting or later from your dashboard, and buying a second run extends the first rather than overlapping it.
What happens when my ad expires?
It stops showing in search and moves to Expired on your dashboard, where you can repost it in one click. Reposting is free and starts a fresh 45 days. A promotion that ran out in the meantime does not come back with it.
How do I edit or remove an ad?
Everything lives under "My ads" on your dashboard. You can edit an ad at any time while it is live, mark it sold once it has gone, or delete it outright.
How do I stay safe when meeting someone?
Meet somewhere public and busy, inspect the item before any money changes hands, and never pay in advance for something you have not seen. Our safety page goes through this in more detail.
Someone is behaving badly. What do I do?
Use the Report link on the ad or the comment. Reports go straight to a moderation queue our team works through, and you will not be identified to the person you reported.
