Cookies
Every cookie this site sets, what it does, and how long it lasts.
Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer
This page accurately describes how the site currently works, and is written to be a useful starting point for legal review. It has not had that review yet, and must not be relied on as it stands.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work. Without them you cannot stay signed in or submit a form, so they are set for everyone.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| buy-stuff-direct-session | Keeps you signed in and links your browser to your session. | 120 minutes |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Stops another website submitting forms as you. | 120 minutes |
Not necessary — referral and affiliate tracking
These exist so that whoever introduced you to the site gets credited if you later buy something. They do not build an advertising profile and are not shared with any advertising network, but the site works perfectly well without them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| cl_ref | Remembers which member referred you. | 30 days |
| cl_aff | Remembers which affiliate referred you. | 30 days |
| cl_visitor | A random identifier so one visitor's repeat clicks are counted once. | 30 days |

Fonts and third parties
The typefaces on this site are served from our own servers. No font, analytics or advertising provider is contacted by your browser, and none of them can set a cookie here.
Turning them off
You can change your answer at any time using the control above, and declining also deletes the tracking cookies already set. Separately, every browser can block or delete cookies for a site from its own settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in. Blocking the tracking ones has no effect on anything you can see — it only means a referral will not be credited.
